Cotillion

The Cotillion is a youth development and scholarship program co-sponsored by Kansas City, Missouri Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and the Delta Economic and Educational Development Foundation (DEED) as part of its national five-point program. The members of the KCMO Alumnae Chapter and D.E.E.D. Foundation take great pleasure in providing this program to the community of Kansas City each year. The Cotillion consists of a group of activities designed to enhance the academic, social, cultural and civic awareness of selected high school seniors from the greater Kansas City metropolitan area. The Cotillion scholarship program has been in existence for over 20 years.

Basic Requirements to Become a Cotillion Applicant

A. All applicants must have a cumulative high school (grades 9 thru 12) Grade Point Average of 2.75 or above on a 4.0 grading scale.  Weighted grade point averages will not be used. 
B. All applicants must be a high school senior and attending any metropolitan area high school.

All application packages must be postmarked or delivered by September 18, 2010. Incomplete packages will not be accepted. All applicants and at least one parent must attend a mandatory Informational Meeting on Sunday, September 26, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at the St. James United Methodist Church, 5540 Wayne, KCMO.   All applicants must arrive at 2:45 p.m for check-in.
